The latest August “scoop” at the Museum of Ice Cream (MOIC) in New York City

FullSizeRender.jpgIce cream seems to be all the food rage in Vancouver. From soft serve, gelato, organic to infused ice cream.

When I was planning my New York City trip with family, I was researching all the food places to walk and eat. I stumbled upon the Museum of Ice Cream (MOIC) through Instagram. Then I started obsessing and wanted to get tickets for this event. This museum had all things ice cream and included a pool of sprinkles. They released 30,000 tickets at $18 USD a person last month and it was sold out within five days. This is for a temporary museum. People were selling tickets on Craigslist for $100 USD – talk about hype!

Sorry for the blurry photos. I was a kid staring into the temporary museum from the outside glass since we couldn’t get tickets. The next best thing is to take a photo in front of MOIC if you’re in the Meatpacking district.

Below is a photo of the entrance and an ice cream scooper sea-saw.

Museum of Ice Cream is only available in the month of August with a waitlist of 70,000+. If you happen to be in New York City, you can take a photo in front of the temporary museum. Remember, it’s only around this month. The museum is not open on Tuesdays so there’s 10 days left of foodie ice cream adventure.
